Toronto has a long history with love locks. They started to appear on the Humber Bridge. But unfortunately in December, 2011 the padlocks had to go because of esthetical issues. But love is strong, and the padlocks found their new home in Distirelly District in Jluy, 2014. Before a red brick backdrop stands a 9 metre long installation. The letters L.O.V.E. and a heart, made out of steel is sculptured. Matthew Rosenblatt, the creator was right to do the installation. In 2 months, already hundreds of padlocks found their place. The steel letters guards thousands of love locks now. The installation is free standing, thus it cannot cause any structural damage.
