London is the capital and probably the most populous city of England and the United Kingdom. The River Thames crosses the city. The tradition of love locking found its way to two bridges in London. Numerous padlocks are affixed to the Millennium and Tower Bridge.
The well-known suspension bridge, the Tower Bridge spans the River Thames and was built in 1894. The name comes from the near- located Tower of London. It became a symbol of London and now it guards the symbols of love as well as the Millennium Bridge or the “Wobbly Bridge” as Londoners call it. The bridge was finished in 2000.
