Helsinki is the capital and the largest city of Finland. It is located in Uusimaa region in southern Finland on the shore of the Gulf of Finland. It is a rare situation, but in 2010 even a law was passed, which allows lovers to attach their padlocks to the bridges in the city. Although on all of the bridges in the city can love locks be placed, one particular bridge is the most popular. Rakkauden Silta – Helsinki’s Bridge of Love – spans a narrow part of the River Vantaa at Vanhankaupunginkoski. The beautiful Uspenski Orthodox Cathedral can be found beneath it. In Finland the number of the love locks tend to grow, so be the next to affix one.
